Stimulator Attractor - (Pack of 3)
The "Stimulator Attractor Fly" is a type of artificial fly used in fly fishing. It's a very popular and effective pattern that's designed to mimic a variety of terrestrial and aquatic insects, making it a versatile choice for many different fishing conditions.
The Stimulator was originally developed by fly tying expert Randall Kaufmann as a stonefly adult imitation. It's a bushy, high-floating dry fly that's often tied in sizes #6 through #16 and in various colors, including yellow, orange, and green.
It's called an "attractor" fly because it's designed to draw the attention of fish and provoke strikes, even when it doesn't closely resemble any specific insect the fish might be feeding on. This makes it a great choice when you're not sure what the fish are biting on, or when you want to entice aggressive strikes from opportunistic feeders.
In terms of technique, Stimulator flies can be fished alone or as part of a dry-dropper rig. They float well and are highly visible on the water, which makes them an excellent indicator fly.
