The Western Coachman is a classic and popular fly pattern used in fly fishing. It's a type of wet fly, which means it's designed to be fished below the water's surface. This fly is particularly effective in clear, fast-moving streams and rivers.

The Western Coachman was originally developed in the late 19th century and has remained a favorite among anglers due to its versatility and effectiveness. It's designed to imitate a variety of aquatic insects, making it a good choice when you're not sure what the fish are feeding on.

The fly is characterized by its peacock herl body, white wings, and brown or grizzly hackle. It can be tied in various sizes to match different fishing conditions and target species. When fishing with a Western Coachman, you can use traditional wet fly techniques, such as swing or dead-drift methods.

Western Coachman Flies

These are the best looking WCM flies I have bought. The materials and craftsmanship are first class. I fish these as a dry and I’ve water tested them and they float beautifully. I would like to see them offered in a size 14 as well as in a barbless version. Thank you!
